Obituary: Teutopolis Press - September 23, 1948

Mrs. Anna Niemann, 79, of Green Creek died Friday evening at 5:30 p. m. in St Anthony Hospital, in Effingham. She had been in failing health for a number of years and a patient at the hospital for two and a half months.

Her husband, John Niemann, preceded her in death. She is survived by the following children; Mrs. Herman (Rose) Doedtman, Mrs. Clem (Bemadine) Mette, Mrs. William (Christine) Meyer, Joseph Niemann, Clara Niemann, and Louis Niemann, all of Green Creek, Sister Mary Reinharda (Magdalen) S. S. N. D. of Ridgway, and Allie Niemann of Effingham, twenty-nine grandchildren, and one great grandchild. She also leaves two sisters, Kate Woerman of Green Creek, Mrs. Al Hoffman of Effingham and a brother Frank Woerman of Green Creek.

The body was taken to the Habing Funeral home and removed Saturday afternoon to the Niemann residence in Green Creek. The rosary was recited at the home Saturday and Sunday night.

Funeral services were held Monday at 9 a. m. in St. Mary Church in Green Creek. Interment was in the parish cemetery-
