A funeral service was held last Wednesday for Brown County-born Hubert Michaels, 70, Franklin. Michaels died at his home Monday, September 25.
He was the brother of Willy Michaels and Zela Allender of Brown County.
He was born in Brown County on January 31, 1908, to Riley and Lucinda Michaels, and was educated in the Brown County schools.
Michaels was married to Irma Vonita [Erma Bonita] Cook. She survives her husband. Michaels was a retired employee of the New York Central Railroad and of Arvin Automotive.
Other surviving relatives include three other brothers, Bruce Michaels of Franklin and Elza and Jason Michaels of Columbus, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Michaels was at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home in Franklin. Burial was Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, west of Greenwood.
