Funeral services for Mr. Robert Wayne Liston, 72, of Oklahoma City will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2003 in The Chapel of the Resthaven Funeral Home with Reverend Charles Wallace of the Lambuth United Methodist Church officiating.

Robert Wayne Liston was born February 8, 1931 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma the son of Robert Jack and Nellie Mae (Roark) Liston. He passed away Monday, June 23, 2003 in Oklahoma City.

Robert enlisted in the United States Navy in 1948 and was honorably discharged in 1952. After returning home from the service, he completed his high school education. He was united in marriage to Miss Rosamary Smith on May 9, 1953 in Van Buren, Arkansas. Robert and Rosamary just celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary this past May with a celebration given to them by their family.

Robert was employed with Lucent Technologies as a Communications Installer for 35 years before his retirement in 1987. He was a member of the Lambuth United Methodist Church, the Telephone Pioneers and the Communications Workers Union.

He is survived by his wife, Rosamary of the home; two sons, Michael Wayne Liston and his wife Lisa of Oklahoma City; and Lanny Ray Liston and his wife Cindy of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren, Raegan Baker, Kyle Liston, Kristi Grady and Casey Liston; seven sisters; Dorothy Mulligan of Muskogee, OK; Ruth Mabry of Gore, OK; Jackie Derrick of Gore, OK; Rose Holder of Vian, OK; Janella McDonald of Oklahoma City; Janie Thomas of Sallisaw, OK and Dixie Callison of Gore, OK.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Charles Ray Liston.

Burial will conclude in Resthaven Memory Gardens under the direction of the Resthaven Funeral Home of Oklahoma City. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in memory of Robert Wayne Liston to the Lambuth United Methodist Church, 3823 Shields, Oklahoma City, OK 73129.
