Mrs. Peggy Elaine Johnson Tatum, age 67 of Goodway, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Monroe County Hospital. Mrs. Tatum, a lifelong resident of Monroe County, was a member of Megargel Assembly of God Church. She attended Alabama Southern Community College where she received a degree in accounting. She worked with Vanity Fair as a production clerk for many years. Mrs. Tatum is preceded in death by her parents, Pascal Lee Johnson, Sr. and Maudie Luverne Scott Johnson and her brother, Rondal Johnson.

Survivors include her husband, James Tatum of Goodway; her son, Nick Tatum and wife Tammy of Monroeville; six brothers, Jerry Johnson of Silver Hill, Willie Johnson of Uriah, Jimmy Ray Johnson of Pine Hill, Gary Johnson of Uriah, Pascal Lee Johnson, Jr. of Goodway and Larry Johnson of Uriah; two sisters, Annette Hall of Atmore and Joyce McKinley of Franklin; and three grandchildren, Bobby Walker, Chase Sparks, and Chandler Sparks.

Funeral services will be Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Monroe Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Lewis Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Sowell Old Field Cemetery in Goodway. Visitation will be Friday, May 15, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
