CHRISMAN - Marie Straw, 91, of Chrisman, died at 7:55 a.m. Sunday (Dec. 21, 2003) at Pleasant Meadows Christian Village Nursing Center, Chrisman. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Franklin Cemetery, south of Chrisman. The Rev. Dennis Jones will officiate. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Scott-Bolen Funeral Home, 602 E. Madison Ave., Chrisman. Mrs. Straw was born Nov. 5, 1912, near Scottland, a daughter of Oris B. and Laura C. Southard Ankrum. She married Leonard Straw on Nov. 21, 1934, in Canon City, Colo. He died Jan. 8, 1990. Survivors include two sons, Earl E. Straw of San Antonio and Roy L. Straw of Chrisman; two grandsons, three great-grandchildren and a step-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers. Mrs. Straw was a homemaker. She was a member of Chrisman Church of the Nazarene.
