Lucille Hand Boykin passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2015. She was born May 1, 1923 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Dobon Hand.
She joined Antioch Baptist Church at an early age and served faithfully until her health began to fail.
Lucille was married to Mr. Felix Boykin, Jr. for fifty-three years and to this union four children were born.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Felix Boykin, Jr.; daughter, Marain Willis; son, Edward Louis Boykin; and one grandson, Mario Derring.
She leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters, Mrs. Christine Fannin, LaGrange, GA; a very devoted daughter, Mrs. Linda (Charlie) Laye, Franklin, GA; god-daughter, Ms. Virginia Andrews; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Annette Webb, Atlanta, GA; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Elsie (Leroy) Hayes; one brother-in-law, Mr. Maffett (Estele) Boykin; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The Celebration of Life Service will be Monday, May 11, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Antioch Baptist Church, Sunset Street, LaGrange. Pastor, Dr. W. T. Edmondson will officiate. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery.
