She was born 25 Oct 1771, Westfield, MA to Gen. William Shepard (1737-1817) and Sarah Dewey (1741-1829).

She married Seth Wetmore 1 Feb 1800 in Westfield, they had one child, William Shepard Wetmore.

Gen. William Shepard, was born in Westfield, Mass., December 1, 1737; he served six years as a captain in the Revolutionary army, and distinguished himself at Fort William Henry and Crown Point; in 1783, he was chosen a brigadier general, having fought twenty-two battles; he was subsequently a major general of militia; and a representative in congress, from 1797 to 1803.
