He was born on November 26, 1917 to Jose and Lorena Banuelos in Colorado Springs.
He was raised in a family of 12 children, 9 of whom preceded him in death. He is survived by two sisters, a daughter, three grandsons, two granddaughters and extended grandchildren.
Augie was a man of honor who served in the armed forces in WWII in the Army chasing Rommel across North Africa and then served in Italy.
He was a career plumber in Colorado Springs, and was a great son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend. his defining attributes was that he was a Christian man and that was exemplified in his actions and his service to others, giving hope, encouragement, joy and inspiration.
He will be greatly missed.
