- Virden, Jan. 12.--Mrs. Lela
Shriver Post, 70, of Virden, died
at 7 p.m. Monday at the Meth-
odist hospital in Peoria after an
illness of nine weeks.
- Mrs. Post was the widow of
Clarence Post, who operated a
clothing store in Virden for sev-
eral years.
- Surviving are a daughter, Mrs.
Eleanor Caldwell, Peoria; one son,
Howard Shriver Post, Springfield;
two brothers, Frank Shriver, Vir-
den; Charles Shriver, Long Beach,
Calif., and two grandchildren.
- Remains were taken to the Ber-
ry funeral home in Virden, where
services will be held at 3 p.m.
Wednesday. Rev. J. C. Irvine will
officiate and interment will be in
Virden cemetery.
