Mrs. Emma Jane Foreman Ankney, daughter of Robert and Frances Foreman, born in Lena, Ill., July 13, 1852 died at 10 p.m. Wednesday, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Rohrer. She was the eldest of nine children. Mrs. Ankney was united in marriage to Alexander Ankney in Cass Center Sept. 1, 1870. Twelve children were born to this union. Her husband and five children have preceded her in death. She was a lifelong member of the Marion Presbyterian church. She is survived by seven children Mrs. Julia Etta Rohrer, Marion, Irving W. Ankney, Anamosa, Grover C. Ankney, Central City, Lester Ankney, Anamosa, Mrs. Lucy Effie Schoomaker, Bain, M inn., Adla S. Ankney, MInneapolis, Mrs. Isabell Lela Payne, Marion and thirty-one grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Benedoin, Maquoketa, two brothers, Arthur Foreman, Marion and Ed Foreman, Clay Center, Kan. Funeral announcements will be made later.
