A produce dealer at the State Farmer's Market, he was born in Hampton County, a son of Mrs Leila Reid DeWitt and the late Lemuel DeWitt.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 am in Dunbar Funeral Home. Burial will be at 3 pm in Fairfax Cemetery in Fairfax.
Surviving are his mother of Ridgeland; and two sisters, Mrs R F Beaird of Ridgeland and Mrs George Hangar of Columbia.
