Listie Sue DeWitt Carroll Beaird, 88, of Ridgeland, SC, died Sunday, August 25, at Ridgeland Nursing Center after a long illness.
She was a sewing room supervisor for Holiday Wear Manufacturing Company in Ridgeland, SC. She was a member of Great Swamp Baptist Church in Ridgeland, where she taught Sunday School for many years.
She was the widow of C. Garvin Carroll and of Robert F. Beaird.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Richard G. Harvey. She was born June 28, 1914, in Hampton, SC, the daughter of Lemual Ellis DeWitt and Leila Reid DeWitt, both deceased.
She is survived by two daughters, Leila C. Malphrus of Ridgeland , SC, and Connie C. Way of Sheldon, SC; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and six great-great- grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p. m. Tuesday, August 27, at Sauls Funeral Home Chapel, Ridgeland, SC.
Burial: Ridgeland Cemetery.
