Leslie S Crockett 68, Seymour, died at 5:20 am Wednesday, April 28, 1999, at Veterans Hospital, Louisville.
Mr. Crockett was a retired Laborer. He was a member of Seymour Community Church and served in th U.S.Air Force from 1952 to 1956. Born May 16, 1930, in Lee County, Va., he was the son of Walter R. and Lucy Hopkins Crockett. On June 29 1957, in Tazwell, Tenn.,he married Elizabeth Maynard, surviving in Seymour. Other survivors include, six children, Danny Reynolds, Seymour: Diane Linne, Georgia; Lanny Reynolds, Taylorsville; Max Reynolds, North Vernon; and David Crockett and Kevin Crockett both of Norman; two brothers, Paul Crockett, Medora; Oscar Crockett, Nineveh, 21 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. He was proceded in death by two step brothers and one sister. The Rev. Frank Holt will conduct funeral services at 11am Saturday at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Brownstown. Burial will be in Clearspring Cemetery. Military graveside services will be held. Friends may call from 1 pm to 8pm Friday and 9am until time of service Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family through the funeral home.
