Also surviving are his son Henry Alan Rhoades at home; father Milton (Frankie) Rhoades and mother Joan H. McClamrock both of Winston-Salem, NC; grandfather J.C. Hawkins of Walkertown, NC; sister Kathryn (Brandon) Gale of Walkertown, NC; step-brother Daniel (Amanda) Murphy of Lewisville, NC; step-sister Kimberly (Leonard) Miller of Clemmons, NC; niece Lillie Irene Gale; and several step-nieces and step-nephews. He was preceded in death by grandparents C.M. and Irene Rhoades, Sr. and Lillie Hawkins.
Christopher was a 2006 college graduate of North Carolina State and had worked as a mechanical engineer at Caterpillar for 9 years. He enjoyed coastal and walleye fishing and building R.C. cars. He was a fan of NASCAR, Green Bay Packers, and the N.C. State Wolf Pack. He enjoyed problem solving, loved spending time with his family and friends, and was an amazing father and loving husband.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 7:00 pm at Willow Hill United Methodist Church, Germantown Hills with Reverend Ken Hogren officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until time of service at the church. Cremation rites will be accorded after services. Graveside services will be held in Forsyth Memorial Park Cemetery, Winston-Salem, NC.
