Peter J. Kottom
Former Resident Died At Bemidji
Word reached Sacred Heart Tusday of the death of a former resident of
the community, Peter J. Kottom of Shotley, Minn. He died Tuesday at a
Bemidji hospital where he was a patient. He was about 70 years of age,
death being caused by heart trouble and other complications.
Born in Norway, the deceased came to America at the age of two years,
He spent his early life on the farm south of town and in his later years
made his home on a farm near Shotley.
Mr. Kottom was unmarried. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Otto Peterson
and Anna Kottom, living on the farm near Opdal church. There is also a
foster-brother, Willie Boe.
Funeral services for Mr. Kottom will be held at 3 o'clock. Rev, T.H.
Rossing will officiate.
