“God saw she was getting tired and a cure was not to be; so he put his arms around her, and whispered, “Come with me.” With tearful eyes we watched her suffer, and saw her fade away; although we love her dearly, we could not make her stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands to rest; God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best!”
Pam was born on February 21st 1952 in Muncie. She was the Daughter of JT and Ruby Muncey .She graduated from Muncie Southside High School in 1970 where she was a very active student and a Rebelette in the Marching Band. After graduation Pam attended Ball State University. On July 20, 1974 she married Rick Spoonemore, her partner of 40 plus years who was by her side through her passing. Pam worked as a Bank Teller for First Merchants for several years, prior to working for 30 years at the DelawareMuncie Metropolitan Plan Commision as a Zoning Planner. She followed her passion and dreams, working as a Hair Stylist throughout the years. She loved to ride her Harley and travel with her husband and good friends Gene and Sally Boling, going on family trips to the beach, and supporting her sons and beautiful granddaughters, Ryane and Reece in their various activities. Pam loved life, loved to laugh and loved to dance.
Pam is survived by her husband, Rick Spoonemore, oldest son Aaron Spoonemore and wife Megan and their two children Ryane and Reece, her youngest son Matthew Spoonemore and partner Bryce Anderson, her Brother Ray Muncey and wife Debbie, her brother Dean Choate and wife Margaret, her sister-in law Linda Montgomery and husband, Phil, sister in-law Jackie Davis and husband, Garry and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many other special friends.
Pam is preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Muncey, father, JT Muncey, brother, Dale Choate, sister, Patricia Walden and sister, Beverly Muncey.
Services will be held Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory.
Friends and family may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 or one hour prior to service at the mortuary.
