Arol E. Currey, 85, of White Oak, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2015, in Life Care Hospital in Monroeville.


Born July 29, 1929, in Salem, W.Va., he was the son of the late Arley and Opal Mae Currey.


Arol retired as a captain after 23 years in the US Marine Corps, serving two tours of duty in Vietnam and one tour of duty in Okinawa.


He is survived by his wife of 62 years, his children, his grandson, his siblings, and also nieces and nephews.


Besides his parents, Arol was preceded in death by his siblings, Charlene, Hugh, Mike, and Dick Currey.


Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 11, 2015, in the Daniel F. Bekevac Funeral Home and Crematory, 4504 Walnut St., Versailles, McKeesport, PA


A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2015, in the funeral home.


Procession and burial with full military honors will follow to Restland Lincoln Memorial Park in Monroeville.
