Charles H. Ingersoll passed away on May 3, 2015 at 1:30 PM as a result of a fatal heart attack. Charles moved to DeSoto, Texas with his second wife, Helen, and her three sons in 1974. He had left a twenty year, loveless marriage to Mary Ann (last name unknown)

Charles is survived by his loving wife Helen, sons Gerald and Kevin: grandchildren, Adrienne, Alicia, Sarah, Mark, Leslie, Jake: Great Grandchildren, Camryn, Marcus Jr, and Austin. His youngest son Kris, a cancer victim, passed away in January 2014. He is also survived by a niece, Geraldine F. Ingersoll, daughter of Charles' half-brother, Willard B. Ingersoll.

Charles was predeceased by his sisters Roberta and Dianne, his half-brother Willard and his mother, Ruth Ann Johnson Wall as well as his father, Guy Earl Ingersoll.

Charles grew up with his mother Ruth and two sisters Diane and Roberta during the depression. He sold newspapers at the age of 8 in downtown Dallas Texas to support the family. He served in the US Army as the Korean War ended. From there he completed a distinguished career with the US Postal Service as a Federal Fraud Investigator. During retirement, Charles ran his own private investigations firm with his adopted son Kris.

Chuck was the biggest presence in every room, the most loved father and grandfather one could have ever hoped for. He was always there for his family neighbors and friends.
