PHYLLIS M. BERGGOETZ, 91, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at Lutheran Life Villages at Pine Valley, Fort Wayne. Born in Egg Harbor City, N.J., Phyllis was her husband Carl's office manager for 20 years while he was an agent with New York Life. She was a member of Trinity English Lutheran Church. Phyllis enjoyed being a volunteer at Parkview Hospice for many years. Her other interests were reading, traveling and most importantly spending time with her family. Surviving are her sons, Barry (Karen) Berggoetz of Fort Wayne and Bradley (Marla) Berggoetz of Indianapolis; daughters, Pamela (Dail) Brown of Westerville, Ohio and Barb Berggoetz of Bloomington; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Lauretta Winterbottom; husband, Carl Berggoetz; brothers, Ivor and Dale Winterbottom; and sister, Geneva Morganweck. Service is 2 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2015, at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, with calling from noon to 2 p.m. The Rev. Dr. Kathleen Haller officiating.
