He was a lifelong resident of Hamilton and a graduate of Hamilton High School. He was self employed, working in sales and rental, and was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church.
His service will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 8th in the Tisdale-Lann Memorial Aberdeen Chapel with Bro. Robert Moore and Bro. Terry Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Center Hill Cemetery.
He leaves his wife, Joyce Holloway Simmons of Hamilton; a daughter, Sonya Head (Tommy) of Amory; a son, Jason Craven (Trina) of Axis, Alabama; his mother, Betty Simmons Smothers (Robert) of Hamilton; a sister, Deborah Harmon (Steve) of Hamilton; six grandchildren, Tyler Craven, Dezi Craven, Maggie Head, Jaylen Cornett, Madison Cornett, Aiden Cornett; a niece, Ashley Baggett; a nephew, Adam Harmon. He was preceded in death by his father, Allen Earl Simmons and grandmother, Lula Mae Allen.
Visitation is 4:00 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 7th at the funeral home.
