Mr. Ed. Weaver, 67-year-old Atchison County road foreman, died at his home at 2:30 o’clock Thursday morning. Mr. Weaver’s condition had been serious for several days. He had been bedfast for the past year.

Mr. Weaver married Jennie Lancaster 45 years ago. Mrs. Weaver survives, as do three sons, James, Paul, and Newton Weaver, all of Atchison. Five daughters, Mrs. Bertha Liggett, Maggie Hubbard, and Mrs. Dora Williams, all of Muscotah. Mrs. Florence Williams of Kansas City, Kans. and Mrs. Rose Reeves of Forest City, Mo. Two daughters died in infancy.

Funeral services were held at the Stanton Chapel Friday P.M. Rev. Frank Johnson officiating. Burial was at the Muscotah Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bob Wilson, Roy Banmann, Bill Ellis, Vernon Highfill, Roy Winder, and George Wagner. Mr. Weaver was a member of the Masonic Lodge. All the county men attended the funeral in a body and presented a very beautiful floral offering.
