Paul J. Weaver, 63, died yesterday at the Medicalodge of Atchison. He made his home at 14241/2 Kansas Avenue before entering the Medicalodge two months ago.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Stanton Chapel with Francis Christ officiating. Burial will be in the Muscotah cemetery.
Mr. Weaver was born at Muscotah Nov. 14, 1911, a son of Edward and Hattie Lancaster Weaver. He attended schools in Muscotah and in Atchison.
From 1937-1947 he was employed by the Atchison Specialty Co. He went to Portland Ore., from Atchison where he remained two years and then worked for a bronze foundry in Topeka.
Mr. Weaver was an accomplished bronze moulder.
He retired in 1965, and returned to Atchison where he worked part time at the Berry Hatchery until 1973, when he underwent lung surgery at the KU Medical Center.
Surviving are five daughters Mrs. Dave (Connie) Birch and Mrs. Robert (Louise) Rusiek, both of Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Karen Horton, Mrs. Sharon Horton, Mrs. Florence Swaggerty, all of Salem Ore.; a son, Donald L. Weaver, Atchison; four sisters, Mrs. Sumner (Florence) Williams, Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Rosie Reeves, Mrs. Maggie Hubbard and Mrs. Clinton (Dora) Williams, all of Klamath Falls, Ore.; two brothers, Jim Weaver and Newton Weaver, both of Klamath Falls, and a number of grandchildren.
