Brynhild Schmutzler-----91, Minot, died Sunday, May 3, 2015 in a Minot hospital.
Brynhild Otilia Olson was born on October 31, 1923, a daughter of Nils and Bergljot (Henrickson) Olson in Minot. She was raised and educated in Minot, graduating from Minot Model High School in 1942.
On November 9, 1942, Brynhild was united in marriage to Alven Schmutzler in Hillsboro, OR. Following their marriage, they made their home in Minot, where Brynhild was a homemaker, raising the couple’s eight children. Together they enjoyed wintering in New Brunsville, Texas, and living at their lake home at Lake Metigoshe where they entertained family and friends. Alven died December 28, 2013. Following his death, Brynhild continued to live in Minot.
Brynhild was a charter member of the Christ Lutheran Church, Minot. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend and will be missed by all that knew her.
