Andrew Aguilar, 59, of Rockdale, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2015, in Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. Burial will follow in San Jose Cemetery in Rockdale.
Andrew was born in Rockdale, Texs, to the late Domingo and Rachel (Silva) Aguilar. He was a 1974 Rockdale High School graduate. After graduation, he worked as a rigger in the oil fields until a work injury in 1982. Andrew then became an ordained minister. He enjoyed reading his Bible daily, ministry work, singing, and his time spent with his children, grandchildren and family.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Domingo Aguilar, Jr. on February 21, 1980, and Danny Aguilar on December 28, 2009.
Survivors include his sons, Andrew Bo Aguilar and wife, Amanda, of Rockdale, and Anthony Domingo Aguilar and wife, April, of Rockdale; daughters: Andrea Danette Rodriguez and Amy Lynn Dayringer, both of Rockdale, and Brittany Waxler and husband, Justin, of Andrews; grandchildren: Alexis, Tyler, Brianna, Isaiah, Adrian, Kayden, Shelby, Jobe, Samantha, Vanessa Lynn, Gavin, Harley and Jaylee Grace; parents, Domingo and Rachel Aguilar, of Rockdale; brothers, Louis Aguilar and wife, Ann, of Houston, and Steve Aguilar, of Rockdale; sisters: Mary Jo Bocanegra and husband, Victor, of Rockdale, Lisa Johnson and husband, Rhett, of Belton, and Cyndie Ingram and husband, Tracy, of Milano; other relatives and many friends.
