Michael R. Aguilar, age 61, was born November 17, 1944. He was called home to be with our Lord, Tuesday, June 13, 2006 after a short illness. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Arnalfa Aguilar; his brother, Richard "Dickie" Aguilar; aunt, Stella Montoya and grandfather-in-law, David P. Gallegos. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Alice Aguilar; his four children, Emily Couch and husband, Tom, Michael Aguilar Jr., Patrick Aguilar, and Mona Aguilar; five grandchildren, Matthew, Timothy, and Marina Couch, Michael Aguilar III, and Samuel Chavez; sisters, Josie Trujillo and husband Anthony, Dolores Valdez, Anna Sanchez and husband, Robert; brother, Paul Aguilar and fiancee, Hazel; mother-in-law, Lilliosa Gallegos; uncles, Salomon Aguilar and Harry Montoya; numerous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. Services will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo, NM. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 16, 2006. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 17, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Virgil Fufaro, celebrant. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ray Mirabal, Benito Mirabal, Richard Acosta, Tom Couch, Andrew Sanchez, and Rueben Trujillo. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren and his god children.
