BARTON - November 30. Jeff D. Sr., late of Rainier Oregon; husband of Katie; father of Mrs. Alice E Smith (Carl), John A. (Lomosa, CA)and Jeff D. Barton Jr.. Brother of Mrs. W. H. Gay (S.C.), Joseph E (S.C.)and S.P. Barton (N.C.). 4 Grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Hennessey Goetsch & Megee. Private committal, Portland Memorial
From the Rainier Review - Mr. Barton came to Rainier in 1933 and for many years has been a machinist at the Weyerhaeuser plant in Longview. He quit work there when the strike was called last summer, but became ill with a brain tumor before work resumed at the mill.
