Shirley was born in Gretna, Louisiana, grew up in Marrero and lived her remaining years in Harvey, a lifelong resident of the Westbank. She was employed by the Louisiana Air National Guard, 159th Fighter Group as a supply keypunch operator and then worked for the 926th Tactical Fighter Group of the U.S. Air Force Reserves in the supply warehouse, retiring in 1988 with 17 1/2 years of dedicated federal service.
She was a strong woman of faith and a very loving and generous person. She will be fondly remembered and missed by her family and friends.
