Funeral services for Alfred Nardi, 90, of Rockdale Avenue, Oakville, husband of Ruth (Holmes) Nardi, were held Saturday, Aug. 10, at 10 a.m., from the Hickcox-Mitchell Funeral Home, with the Rev,, Waldo Landquist, pastor at Union Congregational Church, officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Nardi died Wednesday, Aug. 7, at Waterbury Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Italy, he came to this country in 1905, living in Oakville since 1916. Besides his wife, of Oakville, he leaves two daughters, including Mrs. Jack (Teresa) Marti, of Watertown; a sister; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
