Per Lucy Buffington: Randolph Rhodes (Jack) Buffington Sr. died during surgery in Houston, Harris CO, TX. He was married to Loraine Bryant. They lived in Matthews, Wharton CO , TX at the time of his death. I am his daughter-in-law. James Allen Buffington died during the Spanish Flu epidemic leaving his wife and children behind! His wife was pregnant with the youngest child James at the time. Jack Buffington quit school and started working to support the family after his Father James Allen died.
