Per WWI draft card was married to Tennie F. Brothers Buffington born 7-1892 in TX. On the 1920 Census (just after Walter died she is living with her father and mother. Tennie (born 1893 in TX) is listed with 2 children.

She later married Ruie Brooks born 1885 in AR and Walters 2 children are living with them:

Wilma Buffington born 1915 in TX.
Wilburn Buffington born 1919 in TX.

I believe he died of the Spanish Flu.
