HEREFORD - Adon Burns, 64, died Sunday, Sept 5, 1999, in Amarillo.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Community Church of Hereford with Dorman Duggan, pastor, and Milford Grisham, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Rest Lawn Memorial Park by Parkside Chapel Funeral Home.

Mr. Burns was born in Phoenix. He married Carla Manning in 1953 at Crowell. He had lived in Hereford since 1972. He owned and operated Adon Burns Trucking. He was a member of the Community Church of Hereford.

He was preceded in death by a daughter.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Aubrey Burns of El Paso, Laprell Burns of Graham and Jimmy Burns of Plainview; a daughter, Kayla Schilling of Farwell; two brothers, Bob Burns of Matador and Jiggs Burns of Paducah; and 15 grandchildren.

The family requests memorials be to the Living Bank.
