Mrs. Ida David, who passed away at the Klamath Agency Hospital at an early hour Monday morning. She was the daughter of Chief Link River Jack, who was in power in the district that now comprises the territory from the present site of Klamath Falls to Modoc Point, years ago.

Mrs. Ida David, the beloved wife of Drummer David and mother of McKinley David, entered into rest at an early hour Monday morning, her demise being the termination of an illness of four days duration. Mrs. David was a native of this countty and was aged 60 years when called. She was a member of the Methodist Church. The remains are in the slumber room of the Klamath Funeral Home, where they will remain until Tuesday at 12 noon when they will be taken to the Williamson River Church. Reverend E.B. Cotton will officiate at the funeral services which will be held at the church, Wednesday at 2:30. Interment will be made in the family plot in the Wilson Cemetery.

Wednesday afternoon a host of friends gathered at the Williamson River Mission where Reverend Cotton officiated at the last rites of the late Mrs. Ida David, who passed away at an early hour Monday morning. Mrs. David was a native of this county and was aged 64 years when called. A wealth of floral tokens bore mute evidence of the esteem in which she was held. Friends who were active pall bearers included: Ben Jones, Alfred Butler, Joe Miller, George Merritt, James Johnson and Maxwell Johnson. Honorary pall bearers were, Grover Clarkson, Frank Summers, George Miller, Thurman Jackson, Joseph Kalenia, and Martin Lotches. In the course of the services a sermon was preached in the Indian tongue by Abraham Charlie, and several hymns were offered by the choir. At the conclusion of the rites at the church, the flower laden bier was taken to Wilson Cemetery where following the benediction by Reverend Cotton, vault entombment was made in the family plot. The Klamath Funeral Home service was used, Mr. and Mrs. I.A. Towey being the directors in charge, assisted by Mr. and Mrs. Byron Lotches and Mrs. Ommie Miller.
