Survivors: son Jack Pearce of Fort Dodge; daughter Nicole Thompson of Coon Rapids; grandchildren Jade and Macy Thompson; brother Tom (Mona) McCurdy of Chariton; sisters Janice (Dick) Schlicht of Ogden, Donna Rae Paulson of Boone and Marcia (Tom) Jerde of Arizona.

Linda died at her home Monday April 27, 2015.

She is survived by her children Jack Pearce, of Fort Dodge and Nicole Thompson of Coon Rapids, two grandchildren Jada and Macy Thompson of Coon Rapids, brother Tom McCurdy (Mona) of Chariton; sisters Janice Schlicht (Dick) of Odgen; Donna Rae Paulson of Boone; and Marcia Jerde (Tom) of AZ.

Linda's family invites you to join them for a Celebration of her life Saturday May 2, 2015 at the Greenwood Community Center from 1:00 till 4:00 p.m.

Linda Susan Pearce, daughter of Thomas McCurdy and Wilma Williams, was born May 22, 1956 and died April 27, 2015 at her home in Jefferson at the age of 58.

Linda grew up in and graduated from Jefferson.

She married Rick Pearce in 1976 and from this union conceived two children; Jack and Nicole. The family lived in Yale, a little town near Panora.

Linda worked at "The Port", Krieger's Greenhouse, The Dana Tap and did congregate meals at the Greenewood Community Center before deciding to head back to school.

Linda commuted to both the Boone and Ankeny campuses, where she earned her Associates in Human Services. She applied this degree to her time spent at Ft. Des Moines Correctional Facility as a correctional officer.

Linda loved all animals, especially dogs and horse, and enjoyed planting flowers, horseback riding and spending time with her granddaughters.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Michael.

She is survived by her son Jack Pearce of Ft. Dodge, daughter Nicole Thompson of Coon Rapids, two granddaughters; Jada Thompson and Macy Thompson both of Coon Rapids, one brother Tom (Mona) McCurdy of Chariton, three sisters; Janice (Dick) Schlicht of Ogden, Donna Rae Paulson of Boone, Marcia (Tom) Jerde of Arizona, nieces, nephews and many friends.
