Paul E. “Cool” Betsinger, 57, died as a result of a motor cycle/motor vehicle accident on Wednesday, August 3, 2011. “Cool” was born October 6, 1953, in La Crosse, to Paul and Arlene (Dasse) Betsinger. He had worked for the railroad for over thirty years. He enjoyed woodworking and loved to motorcycle year ‘round. He was a spontaneous traveler, a member of AA, and was always helping people. He is survived by two daughters, Monique (Brian) Cox of Easton, Maryland and Amanda Haller of Tucson, Arizona; a son, Jared Pierce of Madison, Wisconsin; a grandson, Zane Cox; a sister, Betsy Betsinger of Holmen; two brothers, Joe (Patsy) Betsinger of La Crosse and Randy (Roxanne) Betsinger of Holmen; sister, Brenda (Bill) Wilson of Mindoro ; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Bob. Funeral services will be Saturday at noon in the Dickinson Family Funeral Home, 1425 Jackson Street, in La Crosse. The Reverend Mark Bartling will officiate and burial will be in the Mormon Coulee Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 a.m until the services. Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be given to the Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin, 2401 American Lane, Madison, Wisconsin 53704 or the local chapters of AA, 206 5th Avenue South or 217 Seventh Street South, La Crosse, Wisconsin 54601.
