Mrs. Smart Dies After Extended Illness
Mrs. Sarah Evelyn Smart, 74, died Sunday night, April 16, 1939, at the home of her son, R. B. Smart, Piedmont Route 2, after an illness of many months.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Union Grove Cemetery, the Rev. B. L. Cox officiating. Interment was in the churchyard cemetery, Usrey directing.
Surviving are four sons, R. B. Smart, Claude Smart and Lon Smart of near Piedmont, and John Smart; and a daughter, Mrs. Maude Westbrook, Piedmont.
Grandsons were pallbearers.
