Robert "Boomer" Patterson, age 87, of Pemberville, OH passed away on Monday, April 27, 2015. He was born on September 3, 1927 in Bowling Green, OH to Minor and Helen (Peinert) Patterson. Bob married Carol Yount on February 25, 1963 in Toledo, OH. He was a Railroad Conductor for Chessie, later known as CSX Railroad. In his spare time and being an avid Ohio State fan, he enjoyed following OSU and above all else spending time with his family. Bob is survived by his loving wife: Carol, daughters: Tami Beck of Pemberville, Cindy Matyi of Hilliard, a brother: Norman Patterson of Oregon, two grandchildren and one great grandchild. Bob was preceded in death by both of his parents, granddaughter: Melissa Beck, two brothers: Maynard and Richard and two sisters: Veva and Janet. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, April 30, 2015 from 6-8 PM at the Marsh Funeral Home, 4094 State Route 105, Pemberville, OH where funeral services will be conducted on Friday, May 1, 2015 at 11 AM, with Pastor James Budke Officiating. There will be a bereavement luncheon served immediately following the funeral services at the Higher Grounds Coffee Shop and Meeting Place, Front Street, Pemberville, OH. Interment will be at 2 PM in Oak Grove Cemetery, Bowling Green, OH. Consideration for memorial contributions can be made to: The Alzheimer's Association, The St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or an organization of the donor's choice. The family wishes to extend a personal word of gratitude to The Perrysburg Manor C-Hall and to all the special caregivers including Rosa "Momma Kia", JoAnn and Charlie.
