Born June 15, 1909, in Eaton, Ind., to Rue and Rose Etta Remington Long, she married Edwin Wingate Black on Dec. 24, 1925, in Indiana. He died June 5, 1973.
She also was preceded in death by one son, Edwin; six brothers; and five sisters.
Surviving is one sister, Eleanor Michaud.
She and her husband formerly owned and operated the Starr Street Tap in Peoria.
Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
