Roger W. Yates, age 62, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord, Monday, April 27, 2015. Roger served 3 years in the U.S. Army and worked 32 years for Comcast. He was a member of Grundy Church of Christ. Preceded in death by parents, Otis and Linda Yates.

Survived by wife of 31 years, Bonnie (Ratliff) Yates; daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Aaron Day.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, April 29, 2015 from 5:00–7:00pm at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway. Services will follow at 7:00pm with Dr. Ken Link officiating. Family and friends will meet Thursday, April 30, 2015 at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 2200 E. Governor John Sevier Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920 for an 11:30am graveside service. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the American Cancer Society 871 N. Weisgarber Road, Knoxville, TN 37909. Marc Maxwell and Mike Ozmon will serve as honorary pallbearers.
