Glen Adams

W. Glen Adams, 82, of 710 South 17th Street, Centerville, died Friday, December 22, 1978, in St. Joseph Hospital, Centerville.

Born January 28, 1896, in Centerville, he was the son of George B. McClellan and Louisa Indiana Swinford Adams. He was married in Centerville February 15, 1917 to Edna Agnes Mackey and she preceded him in death May 5, 1977.

Mr. Adams had retired from the United States Postal Dept. and had been a city mail carrier for many years.

Survivors include four children, Lorena Gesualdo, Mary Jane Adams and William R. Adams, all of Centerville; and Edward McClellan Adams, St. Charles, Mo.; 16 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and one brother, Walter Adams, Centerville. He was preceded in death by one daughter and four brothers.

Services will be Wednesday, 1:30 p.m., at Johnson Funeral Home, with the Rev. William Ballard officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
