Fielding served in the Civil War. 4th Kentucky Infantry CSA - lost left hand at Chickamauga, named to confederate Roll of Honor.
Four children were born to this marriage; Sylvester Skaggs, Henry T. Skaggs, 1857; Martha E. Skaggs, b. 1860; Mary E. Skaggs, b. 1864; and William Frank Skaggs, b. 1853). Fielding died 12 July 1886.

She married for the third time on 13 Aug 1868 to Edward H. Gravatt.
Two children are known to be born to this marriage: Frank Gravatt in 1867. and Burnettie E. Gravatt, b. 1880.
In the 1900 LaRue County census, Edward Gravatt was 50 and his wife, Nancy J., 60. Their dau, Burnettie and husband William Allen were living with them. A few years later, on 17 Oct 1911, Burnettie was shot and killed by Alfred Brewer.
