Mrs. Rebecca Ann Allen, 78, died at the Rosary Hospital Friday, Feb. 10, at 7:45 a.m. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Feb. 12, at 2 p.m. in the Lyon Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. J. H. Bloyd with burial in Otter Creek Cemetery. Mrs. Allen, who lived in the Mac Community, was born in Larue County, August 22, 1889. She was the daughter of Lucy Buley and Bee Allen and was married to John G. Allen, 60 years. He preceded her in death August 1, 1954. Mrs. Allen was a member of the Otter Creek Baptist Church. She is survived by ten children, Mrs. Nora Vaughn, City; Mrs. Fronie (Roy) Burress, Everett Allen, Henry Allen, Creed Allen, Mrs. Novelle (James) Perkins, Mrs.
Dorine (Dean) Durham and James Allen, all of Star Route, Campbellsville; Mrs. Elsie (Charlie) Price and John E. Allen, both of Indianapolis. Also 32 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Rillie Stillwell, Mt. Sherman, Ky.; three half-sisters, Mrs. Roxie Caulk, Mrs. Nellie Brewer, and Mrs. Henry Lewis, all of Louisville and two half-brothers, Lee and Curtis Allen of Louisville. Three brothers precede her in death. Pallbearers were Charles Skaggs, Eugene Wright, Gowdy Hash, Henry Pierce, Roscoe Shofner, and Garnett Durham. Kentucky Death Records Index, rootsweb
