Alvin Gail Crispin, 79, of New Castle, Delaware passed away on April 24, 2015. Gail was the son of the late Clement & Lydia Crispin and was raised in Pittsgrove, NJ. He graduated from Bridgeton High School in 1955 and went on to work at Owens Illinois while he attended Pierce Business School. Afterwards, he went to work for EI DuPont Co. in Wilmington and would eventually retire as a Supervisor in the Computer Ed Department. Mr. Crispin was also a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church in New Castle where he served as trustee for several years. An avid runner, he ran in the Marine Corp Marathon in Washington DC where he placed second in his age group, 60-65. He also had the opportunity to run in the Boston Marathon. Mr. Crispin also served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Nuremberg, Germany for 2years from 60 to 61.

His wife Evelyn (Gantz) of fifty years, two sons, Douglas and his wife Kathy and Keith and his wife Annette, five grandchildren, Corey, Kristen, Tyler, Mara and Kurt as well as three brothers, Ronald, Barry and Darryl and a sister, Suzanne Paneck survive him.

Services will be held at the Adams Funeral Home, 64 Broad St., Woodstown, NJ 08098 on Wednesday, April 29, 2015. The viewing will begin at 10 AM with the service following at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Pittsgrove Presbyterian Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his memory to the Asbury United Methodist Church, 300 E. Basin Rd., New Castle, Delaware, 19720.
