Ivan Smith Davis, 76, of R.D. Smyrna, died at the Gould Nursing Home in New Berlin at 10:45 Sunday. He had been a patient there for the past seven months. He was born March 3, 1881, in Norwich, the son of Frank M. and Etta Sperry Davis. His wife, the former Bertha Loomis, died in 1943. Mr. Davis was a mechanic and at one time operated a garage in American Avenue known as Davis and Day. Later he was employed by P.L. Card and his last employment was at the Blanchard garage at Edmeston. He is survived by tow sisters, Mrs. Charles Quinn, Smyrna; Mrs. Charles Graef, Norwich, and several nieces and nephews and cousins. The body is at the Robert J. Fahy Funeral Home from where funeral services will be held at 2:oo Wednesday afternoon, the Rev. Thomas G. Swales, pastor of the Broad Street Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Mt.
