Henry Eckenrode born April 1793 is the son of John Eckenrode(Eckenroth) born Aug. 4th 1768 and Mary Anna Berninger (Berlinger in Conewago Registers)born Dec. 11th 1770.
Henry born April 1793 married Elizabeth Forman on the 9th of November 1818 (CR 1980 page M-15). They had eleven children and by April of 1835 they moved to Tyrome Township/ Gettysburg, where they had three more children. Elizabeth died on or after 1840, and around 1847, Henry had remarried to Catharine born in 1811 (Maiden name not found). Henry had at least one child by Catharine in 1848. Both were living in Tyrone Township, Adams County in 1850. Henry had at least 16 children by his two marriages: Mary Ann, 1819; Susan, 16th Dec. and Joanna Catharine, 2nd April 1825; Margaret, 10th Nov. 1826; James, 30th Oct. 1827; Peter Aloysius, 3rd April 1831; Daniel, 24th Jan. 1831; George, 23rd Dec. 1832, Julianna Carolina, in 1835; Henry (again) in 1837; Joseph in 1838; Matilda in 1840; and Samuel in 1848.
Henry died 30th January in 1852 and is buried in the Gettysburg, PA.
