Probate Court: Wm Carrel 2nd and Isaac Jordan.
Subscribing witnesses to an instrument of writing produced in open Court, purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Jacob Jordan deceased; late of Jackson Township in said county, dated October 17 1867 being duly sworn in open Court, depose and say, that they were present at the execution of the last Will and Testament of Jacob Jordan that they saw the said Jacob Jordan make his mark to said instrument of writing, and that he declared it to be his last Will and Testament, and that they signed their names as witnesses thereto, in the presence and at the request of the said decedent; and that the said decedent, at the time of executing said Will and cocicil, was of full age and of sound mind and memory, and not under any restraint; and that he has since died.

Jackson Township, Noble County Ohio. I Jacob Jordan of the County of Noble and State of Ohio being in perfect health body and of sound and disposing mind and memory and understanding. Considering the uncertainty of life do make this my last will and testament in manner following that is to Say. To Elisabeth Merrit and her heirs and also Zachariah Jordan the following disscribed tract of land to wit, the South west quarter of the north East quarter of Section Seventeen of township 5 of range 9 and also to Elisabeth Merret and her heirs four hundred dollars in Money oweing to Said Estate and also to Zacharah Jordan five hundred dollars in Addition to what he has had and Also to Jacob R. Jordan the East half of the farm knowen as the Thomas Merrit farm that said Jordan lives on by Jacob R. Jordan paying the Estate one hundred dollars.

And also to Elias W. Jordan the following tract of land to wit, the South East quarter of the North west quarter of Section Twenty eight, Township 5 of range nine also the North East quarter of the North west quarter of Section Twenty eight in Township five of range nine.

And also to Isaac F. Jordan and Dallas M. Jordan the following tract of land to wit, . The South East quarter of the North East quarter of Section Seventeen Township five range nine also the North half of the South west quarter and the South Side of the north west quarter of Section Sixteen Township five range nine. Except 23 acres on the north East Corner and also an Extra bed apeace selected by Elisabeth Merrit and also Dallas M. Jordan to have the gray horse he know Claims also the Estate pay Dallas M. Jordan thirty Dollars in place of a Cow.

When the Balance of my personal property is Sold pay all my debts after pay my funeral expenses and debts the balance of property money to be divided as follows, one third to Elisabeth Merrit one third to Zachariah Jordan and one third Equally divided with the rest of the heirs, and before taking hold of this property James Merret and wife is required to make Jacob R. Jordan quit Claim deed on the farm he lives on after the Estate paying the Coen heir of, and I also apoint Elias M. Jordan my Executor to this will.

In testimony whereof I have here unto set my hand and Seal this 17th day of October 1867.
