Precious in the eyes of the LORD is the death of His Saints". Ps 116:15 Patricia Jean Tegeler Atchley, age 58, of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Cancer Treatment Center of Tulsa after a courageous battle with cancer. Pat fought the good fight & finished her race. She is a beautiful child of God sitting at His feet.

Patricia (Pat) was born in Victoria, Texas on August 21, 1956. She was the daughter of the late Harry Tegeler, Sr., and the late Gertrude Tegeler Stark. She found her soul mate and partner for life at the age of 24, when she married C J Atchley of Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Pat worked at the Bank of America for many years where she had countless friends before she retired in 2012 due to her illness. Besides her husband, CJ, Pat leaves behind her son, Justin Atchley of Fort Gibson, and her daughters, Kendra and Jade Atchley also of Fort Gibson, sister Cindy Barr and her husband Kenneth of Port Lavaca, Texas, sister Joyce Pauley and her husband Danny of Lake Charles, Louisiana and her brother, Harry Tegeler, Jr. of San Antonio, Texas, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends. She was preceded in death by her infant son, James and her mother-in-law, Amber Wilola Swinford.

Pat was a beautiful person inside and out with a beautiful smile that could light up a room. She enjoyed gardening (she inherited her mother’s green thumb), baking and simply spending time with her friends and family. If you went to visit the Atchley’s during football season, you had better be ready to watch OU football and not cheer for the other team. She loved her SOONERS! Pat was an excellent cook and had a way with fried chicken. Hopefully she passed her recipe on to her children!

Funeral services will be held at Bradley Funeral Home in Muskogee, OK with her brother-in-law, Danny Pauley conducting the service. Burial will be at Pettit Cemetery in Park Hill, OK. Pallbearers will be Justin Atchley, Jon Vandeveer, Tony Morton, Buzzy Boehm, Craig Nelson, and Harry Tegeler, Jr.

The family has entrusted Bradley Family Funeral Service with the arrangements.
