Elmer L. Long, 89, died Sunday, April 19, 2015, at Heritage Manor in Chillicothe.
Elmer was born on Nov. 5, 1925, in Mountain Grove, Mo., the son of Joe and Eliza (Owens) Long. He married Velma Hutchison on Dec. 23, 1946, in Reno, Nev. She preceded him in death on Nov. 11, 2003.
He is survived by one son, Brent (Kathy) Long and one daughter, Brenda (Tom) Horan.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
Elmer worked at WABCO for 38 years.
Burial will be held at the Chillicothe City Cemetery.
