In 1869, at the age of three years sh e came to America with her parents and a baby brother, locating in Clinton county. Later they moved to Gladbrook, Tama County, Iowa, where she grew to womanhood.
On November 29, 1887, she was united in marriage to Fedder Fedderson and the following spring they moved to Cherokee county where they made their home on a farm for 20 years. In 1908 they retired from their farm life and moved to Sutherland, where they have since resided, making their home here 37 years.
On November 29, 1937 they were privileged to celebrate their Golden Wedding and many friends came to wish them well, which was a great joy to them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, who had made their home with her for twenty-five years, by her husband, who died in 1940, two sisters and two brothers who died in early childhood.
Left to mourn her passing is an only child, Mrs. William Peters, her son-in-law, Mr. Peters, two grandsons, Pfc. Arnold Peters, serving with the Army in Europe; Donald at home; two granddaughters, Mrs. Anna Franks and Miss Katherine Peters; two great grand daughters and other relatives and a host of friends.
Mrs. Fedderson made friends with all who came in contact with her and was loved by them all. She was interested in her home, her greatest enjoyment being to beautify her home with many flowers. Her ideals were simple and when surrounded by her family she was happy and content.
A number of years ago she held membership in the Rebekah Lodge and she was a member of Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church of Calumet.
