WILLIAM J. BACKUS, JR., "BILL", age 67, passed away suddenly on April 19, 2015. Bill was the loving husband of Suzanne (Morphy), devoted father of Christopher Backus and Cathleen Grossman (Christopher), son of Rosemary and the late William J. Backus, Sr., and brother to Thomas Backus (Rita). Bill was an avid world traveler, and also enjoyed serving on many advisory boards, including St. Christopher Church and North Coast Health. The family will receive friends at The Gathering Room at St. Christopher Church, 20141 Detroit Road, Rocky River on Saturday, April 25, 2015 from 10:00-11:00 AM, where mass will be celebrated at 11:00AM. Interment at Lakewood Park Cemetery. The family suggests donations in his name to North Coast Health, 16110 Detroit Road, Lakewood, Ohio, 44107, or St. Christopher Church.
