GRUNLOH— LUCHTEFELD
Miss Lucille Luchtefeld, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Luchtefeld of Bishop Creek and Gerald Grunloh, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Grunloh of St. Mary's, north of Effingham, were married Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 23, 1944 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church at Bishop Creek. The ceremony was performed at 8:30 A. M. by the pastor of the parish, Rev. Anthony Wagner, O.F.M., immediately preceding the Nuptial Mass.
Witnesses to the ceremony were: Norma Jean and Earl Luchtefeld, a sister and brother of the bride and Jean and Harold Grunloh, a sister and brother of the groom.
The bride was lovely in white satin fashioned with a long train. Her bonnet-shaped tulle veil of net was held in* place by a tiara of seed pearls. The bridesmaids, Miss Grunloh and Miss Luchtefeld, were attired in pink andf blue net over satin gowns with harmonizing accessories and each carried an arm bouquet of pink carnations. The bride's bouquet was comprised of white carnations.
An all-day wedding feast was held at the home of the bride's parents to which a large number of guests had been invited. In the evening a dance was tendered their many friends at the Thoele Pavilion east of Teutopolis.
